Team Florida All-Stars— 5 Medals & Back-to-Back Region Cup Winners!
Team Florida earned five medals across six indoor all-star teams and claimed the Region Cup at the 2025 USAV AllStar Championships in Madison, WI.
Eustis, FL – August 8, 2025 Since 2000, the USAV All-Star Championships (formerly known as the USA High Performance Championships) have brought together top youth and junior athletes from around the world. Each year, more than 20 all-star delegations compete in a week-long tournament. This year, Team Florida was represented by six teams—three girls teams and three boys teams. The event took place at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
The Florida Region is proud to announce that five of the six teams representing Florida earned a medal. The two gold medals went to the Girls U17 division and Boys U15 division. Team Florida earned two silver medals in the Girls U15 and U13 divisions, and one bronze medal in the Boys U19 division. Beyond each team’s individual achievements, the Team Florida earned the Region Cup as the top-performing delegation at the All-Star event with a match record of 37-7!
This year, coaches from 13 different colleges and volleyball clubs represented the Florida Region, bringing together over 80 years of combined experience with Team Florida and more than 330 years of overall coaching expertise. Every returning head coach has earned a spot on the medal stand in past years, with many having led their teams to multiple medal match appearances.
The USAV All-Star program has positively impacted the Florida Region by uniting all-star athletes, college coaches, and club volleyball coaches from across the state. Team Florida was proudly sponsored and equipped by ASICS and Baker’s Sporting Goods once again, and further supported by medical and media professionals, including LMT Ben Keyes of RX Massage Therapy, Dr. Cam Gholampour, and videography experts The SpikeNet.

“Being new to both the Florida Region and Team Florida, I was incredibly excited to be a part of this event,” said Kurt Esser, Executive Director and President of the Florida Region. “When I started in March, Steve Bishop— former Executive Director and now COO of USAV—told me more than once, ‘Don’t lose the Cup!’ So I’m thrilled that we were able to bring the hardware back to Florida for the 10th time in 13 years.
Even more important to me is knowing how much our athletes and coaches enjoyed the experience. Amanda Barnard, our All-Star Program Manager, did a phenomenal job organizing our teams and the entire trip.
A huge thank you goes out to ASICS and Bakers Sports for sponsoring our uniforms—our teams looked as good as they played. We’re also incredibly grateful to Dr. Cam Gholampour and LMT Ben Keyes of RX Massage Therapy for taking such great care of our athletes and helping them recover quickly throughout the competition. Kris Cifelli and The SpikeNet team did a fantastic job raising the profile of our athletes through social media—it’s such a fun and meaningful part of the experience. And finally, we deeply appreciate the continued support from our Board of Directors, led by Mary Andrew, for their belief in and commitment to this program.”
