Indoor Junior Bids and Rankings

Indoor Ranking Guidelines

The girls indoor junior ranking guidelines are governed by the Florida Region Ranking Committee. This committee is made up of seven to nine Club Directors from across the Florida Region.
IMPORTANT FOR 10U-17U Teams – Teams are required to participate in three Level I tournaments during the playing season to be ranked. Any team not participating in three Level I USAV tournaments during the current season will be given a one score (1.000) for the tournaments not played in; up to three ones, to calculate their final ranking.

regional bid acceptance & Allocation Policy

This policy establishes the procedures governing bid acceptance requirements, penalties for declining a bid, trickle-down bids, reallocated bids, and the Regional At-Large Bid Application process. Bid availability is subject to change, based on USA Volleyball’s bid allocation process.

Bid availability is subject to change, based on USA Volleyball’s bid allocation process.

Teams that compete in a bid division and earn a bid (original or trickle-down) at a Junior Regional Qualifier (JRQ) are required to accept the bid immediately following the completion of the event and prior to receiving medals and team awards.

Teams are required to accept any reallocated, trickle-down, or at-large* bid awarded by the Florida Region if the bid is awarded within thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the original qualifying event.

*The conclusion of the original qualifying event for at-large bids will be the published Regional At-Large Bid Application deadline.

Any bids offered thirty-one (31) days or more after the conclusion of the original qualifying event may be declined without penalty.

Bids Awarded Within Thirty (30) Days or Less of the Event

The following penalties apply to:

  • Bids earned at an event (original or trickle-down).
  • Trickle-down or reallocated bids offered within thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the original qualifying event.
  • At-Large bids awarded through the Florida Region At-Large Bid Application process within thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the original qualifying event.

A team that declines any of the above bids will be subject to the following penalties:

  • A $500 fine for each declined bid.
    • Clubs that fail to pay the assessed fine will not be recognized as an approved Florida Region club for the following season.
  • The Florida Region will issue the club a Notice of Infraction (NOI).
  • If an at-large bid is declined within thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the original qualifying event, the club that declines will not be eligible for an at-large bid in the following season.

Bids Awarded Within Thirty-One (31) Days or More of the Event

Any bids offered thirty-one (31) days or more after the conclusion of the original qualifying event may be declined without penalty.

The Florida Region will notify eligible teams if a trickle-down bid becomes available. Trickle-down bids will only be awarded after all applicable bid upgrades have been confirmed by USA Volleyball. The trickle-down process varies by event, as outlined below.

Florida USAV Gold Series (FGS)

National bids earned at the FGS will remain within the FGS event during the trickle-down process until two (2) weeks prior to the AFVC. Beginning two (2) weeks prior to the AFVC, any remaining National trickle-down bids will be awarded through the AFVC National Bid Division.

If a team upgrades from a USA, Liberty, American, or Freedom bid to a National bid after the FGS event, the vacated bid will continue to trickle-down within the FGS for thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the event.

  • USA and Liberty trickle-down bids will be awarded in the National division.
  • American trickle-down bids will be awarded in the American division.
  • Freedom trickle-down bids will be awarded in the Freedom division.

If a team upgrades their bid after the 18RQ event, the vacated bid will continue to trickle-down within the 18RQ event for thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the event.

If a team upgrades their bid after the AFVC event, the vacated bid will continue to trickle-down within the AFVC event for thirty (30) days or less following the conclusion of the event.

  • National, USA and Liberty trickle-down bids will be awarded in the National division.
  • American trickle-down bids will be awarded in the American division.

IMPORTANT - ASICS FLORIDA VOLLEYBALL CHALLENGE

Any team wishing to compete for a bid, offered by the Florida Region at the ASICS Florida Volleyball Challenge (AFVC), must compete in at least three* (3) USAV Level I ranking events. The deadline for bid eligibility will be as of two weeks prior to the first day of the AFVC. Note: As long as a team has been accepted (and competes) in 3 USAV Level I ranking events that happen prior to the AFVC, that team will be considered eligible to compete in a bid division at the AFVC. A full list of Level I events can be found HERE under the Indoor Events tab.

  • EXCEPTION FOR THE 2026-2027 SEASON ONLY: Due to the 2027 ASICS Florida Volleyball Challenge being scheduled earlier in the season than in previous years, the minimum participation requirement for bid eligibility at the 2027 AFVC will be reduced from three (3) USAV Level I ranking events to two (2) USAV Level I ranking events. The deadline for bid eligibility will remain two weeks prior to the first day of the AFVC. Teams that have been accepted into and compete in two (2) USAV Level I ranking events that take place prior to the AFVC will be considered eligible to compete in a bid division at the 2027 AFVC.

This exception applies only to the 2027 AFVC and will expire at the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season
. Beginning with the 2028 AFVC, the standard requirement of three (3) USAV Level I ranking events will once again be in effect.

Questions on the ranking report should be directed to the Florida Region Events staff via email: [email protected].
