Team Entry Fees:

Teams will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, after the following items have been completed:

Once a division has reached maximum capacity, there is no guarantee a team will be accepted into the event. Teams will be placed on a wait list and accepted on an as-needed basis. The Florida Region will contact the team if a space becomes available. Tournament staff reserves the right to modify the maximum number of teams per division based on demand and bid impact.

Wave times will be posted by the end of the day on February 27, 2027. The tournament schedule will be posted on SportWrench by 9am on the Thursday prior to the event.

Athlete and Coach entry will begin at 6:45am.

Access for Spectators will begin at 7:15am.

Housing

This is a stay-to-play event. All housing requirements must be met no later than February 26, 2027 at 3:00pm. After February 26, 2027 at 3:00pm, teams that are not compliant will be dropped and wait list teams will be given notice of entry.

Stay To Play Requirements

The policy language below is being prepared in the form of frequently asked questions with corresponding answers to help clarify the requirements for participating teams.

What are the stay-to-play requirements?

Each team must book a minimum of 4 room nights per day of the event.

If the team is competing in a 3-day event, they must book a minimum of 12 room nights.
If the team is competing in a 2-day event, they must book a minimum of 8 room nights.

Why did Florida Region adopt stay-to-play?

There are multiple reasons that stay-to-play was adopted:

To prove to the local convention center that our event is generating enough positive economic impact in the local community compared to other events interested in the same space.
To be able to book the venues for multiple years out and to get the best possible dates for future events while avoiding undesirable holiday weekends.
To reserve sizeable hotel blocks with competitive rates at desirable nearby hotels.
To help attending teams get the best possible rate for their group.
To hold prices on team registration fees and spectator ticket prices.

What benefits are available to participating teams under this policy?

There are several benefits for participating teams:

Teams/Clubs will not be required to sign attrition clauses.
Teams/Clubs will not have to pay deposits to hold room blocks.
Team/Club travel agents can still book rooms.

What is an approved hotel?

Approved hotels can be found on the corresponding event page of the Florida Region website. These hotels are under contract with each corresponding event and have agreed to provide rooms for teams attending the event at a set price.

How does a team/club get exempted from the stay-to-play requirement?

The following exemptions are allowed but must be verified as explained below. Please reach out via email to [email protected] regarding exemption.

USING POINTS FOR AN ENTIRELY FREE ROOM - If you have enough points to redeem them for an entirely FREE stay, you are allowed to do so. Please book the room through the hotel directly and upload a copy of your reservation showing that points were used to book your entire stay to the online form below. Please make sure to list the athlete's name on your email so they are an approved exemption. Please note that just ‘receiving points’ for staying at a hotel does not qualify for an exemption. You must be redeeming for an entire free stay.
INDIVIDUAL LIVES WITHIN 75 MILES OF THE PLAYING VENUE - If your team's practice facility is within 75 miles from the venue, you are not required to stay in a hotel. The location of the team's primary/posted practice location will be used when determining mileage validation. This must be able to be verified through Google Maps.
INDIVIDUAL IS STAYING WITH A FRIEND/FAMILY MEMBER THAT LIVES WITHIN 75 MILES OF THE CONVENTION CENTER - If you are staying with a friend/family member that lives within 75 miles from the venue, you are not required to stay in a hotel. Their residence must be able to be verified through Google Maps. If you are wanting to submit an exemption for an entire team, please email: [email protected]. The exemption form below is not a valid submission for team requests.
INDIVIDUAL MILITARY OR GOVERNMENT DISCOUNT - If you are able to get a lower rate with a military or government discount, this will be accepted for an individual reservation. Please book the room through the hotel directly and upload a copy of your reservation showing that a military/government discount was used to book your entire stay to the online form above. Please note, the hotel will require the military or government ID to be presented upon check-in, please have this information when you arrive.

Why isn’t the hotel I prefer on the approved list?

We want to make sure you are able to use a property even if it is not on the hotel list. If you see a hotel that you are interested in, please contact Team Travel Source.

How does my team get officially accepted into the event?

Once Team Travel Source confirms each team has met the TEAM minimum requirements for Stay to Play, a weekly report will be sent to the Florida Region office. Teams will be accepted after the following items have been completed:

Tournament entry fees have been paid.
Team entry forms have been signed and submitted to the Region office.
Minimum hotel requirements have been met and confirmed through Team Travel Source.

What if I can get a better rate with an approved hotel or outside of the block?

Team Travel Source guarantees the lowest group rates available to the public (exclusions include unconfirmed room types, non-cancellable rates, employee rates, government rates, advanced purchase rates, AAA, AARP rates and non-commissionable rates). Teams looking to use military or government discounts may be eligible for exemption. Please contact Team Travel Source if you would like to use an exemption (approved exemptions listed above).

What if I would prefer to stay with family that lives within the exempt area?

If you are staying with a family member that lives within 75 miles from the venue, you are not required to stay in a hotel. This must be able to be verified through Google Maps and submitted to [email protected].

What if I have rewards points to offset the cost of a room?

If you have enough points to redeem them for an entirely FREE stay, you can do this! Please book the room through the hotel directly and send a copy of your reservation showing that points were used to book your entire stay to Team Travel Source. Please make sure to list the athletes name on your email so they are an approved exemption. Please note that just ‘receiving points’ for staying at a hotel does not qualify for an exemption. You must be redeeming for an entire free stay.

What happens if I need more rooms than are available for my team at an approved hotel?

Please contact Team Travel Source and they will work with you to try and add more rooms to the block. Should there not be additional rooms available, other reservations are not confirmed until ALL nights have been confirmed. You will be notified if and when additional night(s) become available and your reservations will be fulfilled. We recommend you have a back-up reservation in the event that your waitlist reservation does not become confirmed.

What happens if I have a problem once my team arrives at the hotel?

Team Travel Source is in frequent contact with the club and hotel preceding the event. A week before the event, contact information for the hotel is given for clubs to make any last minute changes. Upon check-in, Team Travel Source has a customer service line for any problems that could arise during check-in. If you experience any issues with the hotel; please speak to hotel staff/management first to see how they can assist. If you are still having issues, please contact Team Travel Source so they can assist.

FL Region bid information

This tournament will award National, American, and Freedom bids to the USAV Girls Junior National Championships. Visit the Bid Tracking link on the FL Region Bid Information page below to see which bids are available.

Any team winning a JRQ bid will be required to accept the bid at the conclusion of the event and prior to accepting the respective medals and team award. All teams who earn a bid (National, American, or Freedom) or receive a trickle down bid (USA, Liberty, American) at this event must accept that bid. Additionally, teams playing in this event must accept a reallocated bid that may be awarded to the Region after the event has concluded. If a team does not accept a bid earned, the club in which that team competes for will be banned from the same event the following season in all age groups and divisions.

Note: Bid availability is subject to change. Teams with Open or National bids will be dropped from the event and issued a refund. Teams coming into the event with a USA, Liberty, American, or Freedom bid will automatically be moved to the National division once the official bid notice is sent from USAV. Bids will not trickle down in the American or Freedom divisions. Reallocated American or Freedom bids will be placed in those respective divisions. All other reallocated bids will be awarded in the National divisions ONLY.

Important Bid Divisions Note

Teams competing in a bid division are REQUIRED to participate in at least three (3) Level I events before the start of the ASICS FL VB Challenge. Teams that have not participated in three (3) Level I events by March 14, 2027* will be dropped to the Regional Division (if the Regional division is full, teams will be placed on a waitlist) in their respective age group. *Teams that will be playing in their third Level I event on the weekend of March 20-21, 2027 will need to send proof of acceptance to the Florida Region office no later than March 15, 2027 at 9am. Teams will be required to compete in the event for it to be counted toward their three (3) event minimum.

Note: The ranking percentages listed above are just suggestions. The Florida Region allows teams to register in any division they would like, and will not require teams to change divisions based on rank. The only time the Florida Region will require a change in division would be if a team is registered in a bid division and does not meet the three (3) Level I event requirement.

Team Check-In

Team check-in ONLINE will open March 11, 2027 at 8am and must be completed by March 25, 2027 at 3pm – NO EXCEPTIONS! We do NOT offer or accept ONSITE team check-in.

COACHES OR CLUB DIRECTORS MUST complete Online Team Check-In for their teams prior to tournament play. Paper rosters will NOT be accepted.
Upon completion of Online Team Check-In, each coach assigned as a "Primary" staff member will receive a unique QR code pass via text & email for entry into the event.
There is a MAXIMUM of 4 “Primary” staff members per team. Any additional members will need to purchase passes online for entry into the event.
To gain entry into the venue(s) AT ANY TIME, each Primary staff member will need to present their QR code pass (can be printed or on a mobile device) with their corresponding photo ID at entry.
Athletes will need to show their jersey to gain entrance to the venue.
If you have any athletes that are 18 years old BEFORE or DURING the event, they must have SafeSport training to be eligible to play and for the team roster to be valid for check-in.
Teams that do not check-in by the respective time will be dropped from the tournament, be issued a sanction from the Florida Region, and will not be issued a refund for the event.

IMPORTANT: Any roster changes that are requested after the posted roster deadline (listed above) are subject to a Post-Deadline Roster Change fee of $20 per change. Payment must be remitted at the tournament desk prior to the change. Card or cash (exact amount only – no change will be provided).
